Metal Master

The Metal Master is a villain from the planet Astra who, like all Astrans, can control metallic objects on the atomic level. He is unique in the sense that other Astrans use their ability for benign purposes, while he sought to use it to conquer. Exiled from Astra, he searched for a metal-rich planet to take over, and in 1963 his search led him to Earth. He attacked a military installation in the southwestern United States and initially defeated the Hulk, but was later outwitted by Hulk and the Teen Brigade when Hulk employed a gun that appeared to be metal but was actually cardboard and plastic. Metal Master was distracted by his powers seemingly failing, and was grabbed by the Hulk in his moment of weakness. Terrified of Hulk's brute power, Metal Master fled Earth. The mutant villain Magneto, who could similarly manipulate metal, emerged not long after Metal Master's departure, and proved to be a much more dangerous threat.
