Kingpin (Earth-1610)
Kingpin, born Wilson Fisk, is an American organized-crime boss and businessman in New York City. Through his wealth and connections, Kingpin is able to consistently evade punitive measures despite almost universal knowledge of his criminal dealings. He has a great deal of henchmen and other villains in his employ, including Electro and the Enforcers.
Biography
In 2001, a lowly criminal in Kingpin's family killed Ben Parker, the uncle of Spider-Man. Spider-Man uncovered this connection, and made it his goal to take down the seemingly untouchable crime boss.[1] He learned of a fundraising gala that Kingpin was putting on, and used the opportunity to search his office for anything incriminating. Kingpin was ready for him however,[2] and along with Electro and the Enforcers easily incapacitated the hero. Kingpin unmasked Spider-Man, revealing an unfamiliar teenage boy. Electro threw Spider-Man through the window, dismissively disposing of the young hero. Kingpin kept the mask, and placed it over the head of defiant underling Mr. Big before crushing his skull, killing him. Mr. Big's body was dumped in the East River, mask and all.[3]
