Mary Jane Watson is an American teenage girl and high-school student in New York City. A bookish and kind girl, Watson is close friends with Peter Parker, and the two have drifted toward a romantic relationship. Their relationship suffered around the time that Parker became Spider-Man and took on several new responsibilities,[1] but when his uncle Ben died, Mary Jane was there for him nonetheless.[2]
