Bruno Varoz

Bruno Varoz was a mad scientist who in 1940 developed a formula for imitation blood that, when injected into dead bodies, revived them into obedient zombies. With help from his living minions, Varoz created a small army of zombies and sent them into major American cities to steal and amass a wealth of riches for him. The United States military sought the help of robot hero Electro, who did what he could to fight back the zombies, and trailed one of them who flew a plane back to Varoz's castle off the coast of Cuba. Varoz trapped Electro in a vat of acid, but the powerful construct was unaffected and broke out of the vat after being remotely powered up by his creator Philo Zog. Electro then threw Varoz in the vat of acid and returned to the U.S. to destroy the rest of the zombies. The military bombed Varoz's castle, destroying his research.
