Shocker, born Herman Shultz, is an American villain in New York City who uses a pair of handheld devices called "vibro-shock units" to incapacitate his foes. He attempted to rob an armored car in 2001, but was handily thwarted by Spider-Man,[1] arrested, and imprisoned at Ryker's Island. However, Schultz' lawyer asserted that Spider-Man had infringed upon his legal rights as part of his capture and was able to secure his release.[2]
