Other (Earth-199999)

The Other was a being of an unknown humanoid race who acted as the right hand of Thanos, in particular serving as an envoy between him and various associates in his quest for the Infinity Stones. He was of average humanoid height, with pale grey skin and two thumbs on each hand. It seems that the Other's mysterious identity was intentional as a way of deemphasizing his significance next to Thanos: his certainly adopted moniker along with a hood and mask that hid much of his face served to further obscure his origins. In 2012 and 2014, the Other represented Thanos to Loki and Ronan the Accuser during Thanos's respective quests for the Tesseract and the Orb. As part of the latter venture, Ronan became frustrated with his deal with Thanos and confronted him personally. The Other chastised Ronan, but Ronan responded by snapping his neck and killing him.
