Lord Ha-Ha, born Percy Hawley, was a British reporter turned radio broadcaster of Nazi propaganda during World War II. While eating dinner with a group of Nazi officials, Hawley was suddenly abducted by the Howling Commandos, a team of American soldiers tasked with bringing Hawley back to England. Hawley's father believed that his son had been brainwashed and could be swayed back to the Allied cause; Ha-Ha was however adamant that he believed in the Third Reich. The Commandos were attacked by Nazi forces as they awaited their getaway submarine on the coast, and Ha-Ha ran out hoping to be rescued. Instead, the Nazis mistook him for an American and shot and killed him.[1]
