Lester Drake

Lester Drake was a treasure hunter and mining engineer who in 1940 was employed by Barrie Richards to help him mine a vein of gold that he had inherited in the Belgian Congo. But Drake had other plans, killing Richards shortly after their arrival. He enlisted the help of Abwama, a native chief who agreed to a share of the gold in exchange for rounding up slaves for their operation. This plan went smoothly for months, until Ka-Zar freed Drake and Abwama's captive humans and elephants, causing the elephants to stampede and kill both of the slavers.
