Lemurian Star

The Lemurian Star is a ship that was used to launch satellites for Project Insight in Earth-199999. In 2014, Nick Fury staged a hijacking of the Star by pirates led by Georges Batroc to provide cover for Black Widow to extract information on Project Insight from the ship's database. Alexander Pierce, high-ranking Hydra operative, had encrypted the data for essentially anyone but himself, which drew Fury's suspicions given his own high level of clearance. That suspicion led to the conflict between Hydra and S.H.I.E.L.D. that would cripple both organizations and effectively end Project Insight.
