Kraven the Hunter (Earth-1610)
Kraven the Hunter is an Australian big-game hunter, television star, and villain. In 2002, he set out to film a special episode from the United States, declaring his intent to kill the one known as Spider-Man.[1] Kraven was privately skeptical about this plan, but his agent assured him that it was a surefire path to major success.[2] Kraven made a filmed appearance at Peter Parker's high school, the place where Spider-Man had made his first appearance, in an attempt to "track" him. Kraven didn't realize that Parker, a small and unassuming teenager, was Spider-Man himself.[3] Kraven finally got his opportunity when Spider-Man confronted Doctor Octopus at a Hammer Industries research facility in New Jersey. After Spider-Man defeated Doc Ock, Kraven challenged the hero to combat, but Spider-Man refused, looking to help those that Octopus had injured instead. Kraven insisted, throwing several missed blows at Spider-Man before the latter finally threw a single punch, sending Kraven flying and knocking him out. Thus, Kraven was exposed as a weak fraud, and he and his associates were taken into custody.[4]
