Korath (Earth-199999)

Korath was a Kree cyborg warrior loyal to Ronan the Accuser. In 2014, he was tasked with seeking out the Orb as part of Ronan's quest to destroy the people and culture of Xandar. Korath and a small group of soldiers investigated a temple on Morag, where they were narrowly beaten to the Orb by a rogue named Star-Lord. Eventually, Nebula was able to obtain the Orb (containing the Power Stone) on behalf of Ronan, and his fleet invaded Xandarian airspace. They were met by the Nova Corps, the Ravagers, and a ragtag team of heroes led by Star-Lord whom Ronan sarcastically named the Guardians of the Galaxy. The Guardians fought their way through Ronan's flagship the Dark Aster, and the barbarous Drax killed Korath by detaching a cybernetic fixture in his head. The Guardians went on to defeat Ronan and hand off the Power Stone to the Nova Corps.
