Falcon (Carl Burgess)
The Falcon, born Carl Burgess, is an American hero and assistant district attorney from Buffalo, New York. As an attorney, Burgess is witness to many clearly guilty criminals who are exonerated for lack of evidence, and uses his Falcon alterego deal vigilante justice.
Biography
Exactly how Carl Burgess came to be the Falcon is unclear, but it seems that he was experienced in the role by mid-1940 when Ashok Sunga carried out a series of murders. His victims had each been delivered a "Wand of Death" in a box, dying upon opening it. When confronted, Sunga declared that it was a curse; Burgess believed that this fanciful story wouldn't hold up in court, and so investigated the true cause as the Falcon. Investigating the wand, Falcon discovered that the cause of these deaths were actually due to the box, which sent out a deadly electric shock to whomever opened it. Falcon confronted Sunga once more and threw the box at him, killing him.[1]
