Ashok Sunga

Dr. Ashok Sunga was a doctor and racketeer who in 1940 seemed to use a series of "Wands of Death" to kill his enemies one by one with a simple touch. He was quickly found out by assistant district attorney Carl Burgess, but used the claim that the deaths were the result of a curse to keep him from pursuing the case further: Burgess believed that the fantastic story wouldn't hold up in court. But Burgess pursued the truth further as his secret identity, the Falcon, and found that in fact it was the box that contained each wand that did the killing through a large but subtle electric shock. Falcon confronted Sunga and threw one such box at him, killing him.
