Carl Kaxton

Carl Kaxton is an American inventor and entrepreneur in New York City, where he is the head of Kaxton Laboratories. Kaxton is a brilliant inventor, but also possesses a somewhat harsh personality. In 1965, an employee of Kaxton's named Wilbur Day stole his design for a pair of hydraulic-lifting legs and began committing crimes across the city as Stilt-Man. Worse yet, Day went to a lawyer claiming that Kaxton had stolen the hydraulics from him instead. Day's plan was to ruin Kaxton and go on to steal his molecular condenser: a laser-type weapon that would essentially shrink its target into virtual nothingness. Eventually, Day's lawyer Matt Murdock—secretly the masked hero Daredevil—figured out his scheme and fought back. In the scuffle, Day turned the condenser on himself and got shrunk.
