Frederick Foswell
Frederick Foswell, also known as the Big Man, is an American reporter for the Daily Bugle and former New York City crime lord. As the leader of his gang, the Big Man first made his presence felt in early 1964, using the Enforcers trio of criminals to exert his will. While all this was going on, Foswell worked as a columnist at the Daily Bugle, answering to editor J. Jonah Jameson. Much of his gang was quickly brought to justice by Spider-Man, and Big Man was soon arrested as well after police found incriminating evidence in his car.[1] Foswell was released after a year in prison, and Jameson rehired him in an attempt to make himself look benevolent for hiring an ex-con. Foswell focused more on investigative journalism upon his return: he quickly secured a lead that brought down Lucky Lobo's gang. This lead had been secretly forwarded by the Green Goblin in an attempt to overthrow Lobo and take over his gang, but in fact the entire organization was arrested, foiling Goblin's plan.[2]
