Werner von Doom

Werner von Doom was a Latverian gypsy and the father of Victor von Doom. After being strong-armed by a local baron into trying to cure the baron's wife, Doom attempted to escape the area with his young son, but the two wound up caught in the cold wilderness. Werner's friend Boris recovered them and brought them to camp, but Werner died shortly after. Victor went on to become Doctor Doom, one of the world's most feared supervillains.
