Trevor Slattery
Trevor Slattery is a British actor in Earth-199999 known for portraying the Mandarin as part of Aldrich Killian's 2012 plot to profit off of the war on terror. A virtually unknown stage actor and drug addict, Slattery was hired by Killian (and paid in drugs) to portray the terrorist face of Killian's intricate plan. As part of his performance, Slattery affected a deep, menacing accent in contrast with his typical, playful English tone. Slattery wasn't told that anyone would actually be harmed, and believed that it was purely for show: by his own admission, his total obliviousness was due to the drugs he was taking. In December of 2012, Killian's stronghold in Miami was stormed by Tony Stark, who confronted Slattery about Killian's plan. Slattery was fully cooperative, just learning about the true nature of his involvement. Nonetheless, Slattery was arrested, tried, and convicted for his crimes.[1] While in prison, Slattery was interviewed by Jackson Norriss, a man claiming to be a documentarian. In truth, he was a member of the Ten Rings terrorist organization, and had come to break Slattery out of prison and introduce him to the group's leader, the true Mandarin. The result of this escape and subsequent events are unknown.[2]
