Peter Parquagh is a teenage English boy who boasts a fascination with spiders. He is the apprentice and assistant of Nicholas Fury, Queen Elizabeth's intelligencer.

Biography

In 1602, when Queen Elizabeth was ill and near death, strange weather events began occurring across England, leading some to conclude that the apocalypse was at hand. Meanwhile, Nicholas Fury and Stephen Strange informed the queen of word of a powerful, magical Templar artifact in Jerusalem. Other nations were known to be interested in the object. An informant known as the Old Man had claimed the object and was en route to Trieste, Italy to deliver it to the queen's forces. Fury brought Peter Parquagh, his new assistant, to meet with an accomplice named Matthew Murdoch at a tavern in Westminster. Murdoch, known as the Devil, was a blind Irish bard with uncanny agility and perception in spite of his disability. Fury tasked Murdoch with retrieving the artifact from the Old Man in Trieste in ten days, with a large diamond as payment and another upon completion. Peter marveled at Murdoch's abilities. Fury then took Parquagh to an old Templar temple in London, intending to get attacked by an assassin: his plan worked, and Fury deflected the killer and took him to the Tower of London for interrogation.[1]
