Sokovia
Sokovia is a country in eastern Europe in Earth-199999 known for being frequently ravaged by war due to its important geopolitical location. This unfortunate history culminated in 2015 when Ultron used a city in Sokovia as the focal point of his plot to destroy humanity. Ultron constructed a vibranium device that elevated a huge chunk of the city into the sky with the intent of dropping it back down from far above, causing mass extinction. Ultron's plot was stopped by the Avengers, who managed to destroy Ultron and rescue the Sokovian civilians stuck in the city. However, this plan resulted in the midair destruction of the floating island.[1] The creation of Ultron in the first place had been the fault of the Avengers—due to this and their perceived negligence in other disasters, a document called the Sokovia Accords was established by the United Nations in 2016, leading to the superhero Civil War that rocked the Avengers.[2]
