Ronald Gale

Ronald Gale was a scientist who in the early 20th century invented a "stratosphere-plane" capable of long-range space travel. He and his wife and infant daughter Nara used the plane to travel to the planet Ligra, where Ronald and his wife were killed by the native Dragon-Men. Nara was taken in and raised by Lion-People, the enemies of the Dragon-Men, and in adulthood became their leader.
