Protector

The Protector, born Gerald Marsh, is a former jeweler and criminal who created a secret identity to shake down other jewelry stores for protection money. To do so, the Protector claimed to have a disintegration ray with which he would destroy each store's jewels; in reality, he would simply take the jewels and replace them with piles of dust. In an attempt to dodge suspicion, Marsh staged an attack on his own store, which caught the attention of Ant-Man. This eventually backfired, as Ant-Man was able to track down the Protector and reveal his true identity. Marsh was then taken into police custody.
