Mjölnir
Mjölnir is the signature hammer of Thor. It is supremely powerful and capable of granting its wielder many incredible abilities, including flight and time travel. Following Thor's embodiment by Don Blake in 1962, Mjölnir also came to define Blake's connection to the god. Blake can transform into Thor and back at will by tapping the hammer on the ground; when in his human form, the hammer takes the form of a simple wooden cane. If Thor releases hold of the hammer for sixty seconds, he automatically transforms into Blake. Mjölnir cannot be lifted by anyone but Thor, regardless of strength.[1]
In 1965, Mjölnir had roughly half of its head blasted off when Thor fought the profoundly powerful Destroyer.[2] After this conflict was resolved, Thor restored his hammer to full functionality by reforming the two pieces together in a forge in Pittsburgh.[3]
