Mara Rice

Mara Rice is a woman who accompanied her father, a professor, on a scholarly expedition to the Belgian Congo in 1940. They were flown there by a pilot who turned out to be notorious criminal Red Skelton in disguise. Skelton attempted to extort $100,000 and Mara's hand in marriage from the Rices, killing the professor in the process. Ka-Zar stopped Skelton from harming Mara, stabbing and killing him. Mara wished to stay in the jungle afterward, but Ka-Zar insisted she return to civilization with a passing caravan.
