Hatap
King Hatap, also known as the Mad Pharaoh, was a pharaoh in ancient Egypt. After losing a large-scale battle to the army of Cleopatra shortly before the first millennium, Hatap put himself into a prolonged state of suspended animation, seemingly dying. He came to life 2,000 years later, in 1963, just as his tomb was being excavated in an archaeological dig. He met with scientist Tony Stark, who was helping his friend on said dig, and explained his situation. Hatap looked to return to his own time, using a magical time-traveling charm, and overthrow Cleopatra. He poisoned the others on the dig, blackmailing Stark into helping him by withholding the antidote. Stark agreed, traveling to ancient Egypt with Hatap and immediately donning his heroic Iron Man suit once out of the Mad Pharaoh's sight; Hatap believed that Iron Man had killed Stark. Iron Man immediately left to find Cleopatra, while Hatap gathered his forces. The two soon met in battle, and Iron Man made every effort to retrieve Hatap's magical charm. In his attempts to hold on to it, Hatap fell on his sword, killing himself.[1]
