Kaecilius is a sorcerer and former disciple of Baron Mordo. In 1965, when Mordo allied with Dormammu in an attempt to find and defeat Doctor Strange, Kaecilius acted as Mordo's right hand. On multiple occasions, Mordo sent Kaecilius out on scouting missions while essentially possessing his body through magic, seeing and speaking through him. In the end, Mordo and Dormammu's alliance crumbled, and Dormammu banished Mordo to another dimension. Mordo's followers, including Kaecilius and the Demon, continued to search for Strange, but he outsmarted all of them and hypnotized them into abandoning their lives of dark magic.[1]
