Groot

Groot is a Flora colossus from Planet X. In 1960, he came to Earth claiming to be Planet X's monarch, with the aim of capturing an entire village and taking it back to Planet X to study it and its denizens. He was ignobly defeated and killed when a scientist unleashed a swarm of termites upon him.[1]
