Atlanteans are a race of humanoid undersea beings who occupy the civilization of Atlantis. Millennia ago, they evolved from the precursors of humans that migrated into the sea. On multiple occasions in the 20th century, the Atlanteans have been led by Namor the Sub-Mariner, a human-Atlantean hybrid who has repeatedly fought to defend Atlantis.[1]
