King Arthur was the king of Britain around the 10th century.[note 1] A valiant and noble king, Arthur became a legend of western culture and one of the greatest heroes before the prevalence of superpowers in the 1900s. He was assisted by Merlin, whom all believed to be a powerful wizard, but in fact had intrinsic superpowers of his own due to what he erroneously believed to be a mutation.[1]
