Agamotto (Earth-199999)

Agamotto was the first Sorcerer Supreme, establishing the tradition of the mystic arts thousands of years before the time of Doctor Strange. He built the Sanctums in New York City, Hong Kong, and London, linked magically through Kamar-Taj. He is the namesake for, and is credited with the creation of, the Eye of Agamotto: given that the core time-manipulating powers of the Eye were due to the Time Stone within, it can be assumed that Agamotto's contribution to the artifact lay in containing and harnessing the stone's abilities. How Agamotto came to possess the Time Stone is unknown. The Eye of Agamotto remained in the care of Agamotto's successors until Thanos claimed and destroyed it and the other Infinity Stones in 2018.
